Block types

This page covers every block in the editor. Add a block from the block menu by typing / in an empty text block or clicking + to the left of a block. Block names in the menu are shown in English in both the Korean and English UI; each heading below lists the menu name. To see which blocks are created when you paste formatted content, see Pasting Markdown.

Six heading levels, H1 through H6. The first block of a note is always locked as the document title and can’t be changed to another type. See Title lock.

Section titled “Lists (Unordered List · Ordered List · Checklist)”

  • Numbered list — a list with numbers
  • Checklist — a to-do list you can check off

Code, formula, and Mermaid blocks are edited the same way.

  • While you type, the block shows an editing field; when you finish, it shows the rendered preview. Switch with the Edit / Done button at the top of the block.
  • In the editing field, Enter adds a line break. Tab inserts two spaces and Shift+Tab outdents.
  • Press Esc to switch to the preview and move the cursor to the next block.
