Meeting notes
A meeting note is a regular note with a Meeting recording panel at the top. Record a meeting in your browser and a transcript is created automatically, along with an AI summary of the decisions and action items. You can keep writing in the note body below the panel as usual.
Create a meeting note
Section titled “Create a meeting note”Create a new meeting note
Section titled “Create a new meeting note”- At the top of the notes sidebar, choose the arrow next to the + button (Create options).
- Choose New meeting note.
- A meeting note is created at the top level and opens, titled with the date and time it was made, such as
2026-10-04 14:30 회의(회의 means “meeting”; this default title is in Korean in both languages). You can rename it anytime.
Meeting notes have a meeting-note icon in the sidebar, and the top bar shows a Meeting note chip when one is open. Use the sidebar’s Show meeting notes only icon to list only meeting notes.
Convert an existing note
Section titled “Convert an existing note”- Open the note you want to convert.
- In the sidebar, open that note row’s three-dot menu and choose Convert to meeting note. For a personal draft, it’s in the Draft options menu.
- In the Convert to meeting note dialog, choose Convert.
Converted to a meeting note.appears.
Convert to meeting note only appears on the row of the note that’s currently open.
To create or convert a meeting note, you must be a member with edit access to the note. Guests can’t create meeting notes or record.
Record a meeting
Section titled “Record a meeting”When you open a meeting note, the Meeting recording panel at the top shows the processing status (Awaiting recording, Queued for processing, Transcribing, Summarizing, Completed, Processing failed), the Transcription language, and how much usage is left.
- If needed, pick a Transcription language. The default is Auto-detect (multiple languages), which detects languages automatically, even in meetings that switch between languages, such as a mix of Korean and English. For a meeting held in one language only, you can choose that language from the list.
- Choose Start recording. The first time, your browser asks for microphone permission.
Connecting microphoneshows while it connects. - While recording, the elapsed time and the microphone input level are shown. Use Pause and Resume recording to take a break.
- When the meeting ends, choose Stop recording. The recording uploads automatically (
Uploading recording), and then the transcript and summary are created.
You can choose these transcription languages: 한국어, English (US), English (UK), 日本語, 中文(简体), 中文(繁體), Español (US), Español (España), Français, Deutsch, Português (Brasil) and हिन्दी.
Keep in mind:
- Each meeting note holds one recording. After the upload finishes, you can’t record again in the same note, so create a new meeting note for your next meeting.
- You can’t upload an existing audio file. Meeting notes only support recording directly in the browser.
- When you reach the time you have available (the shorter of the per-meeting maximum and this month’s remaining usage), recording stops and uploads automatically.
- Recording continues if you move to another note or screen. A
Recording meetingbanner appears at the top of the screen, with Pause, Stop and Open meeting note. - Until the upload finishes, the recording exists only in your browser. If you try to close or reload the tab while recording or before the upload finishes, the browser warns you. If you close it anyway, the recording is lost.
- You can record only one meeting at a time. If another meeting note is recording or uploading, you see
Another meeting note is recording or uploading. Please finish it there first. - If the upload fails, choose Retry upload. To throw the recording away, choose Delete recording. The recording hasn’t been saved to the server yet, so it can’t be recovered once deleted.

Read the transcript
Section titled “Read the transcript”When processing finishes, the panel shows an audio player and the Transcript and Summary tabs.
- Each transcript line shows the time, the speaker and what was said.
- Click a line to jump the audio to that moment. It’s an easy way to replay a specific part.
- Detected languages appear above the transcript as language codes, such as
ko-KRanden-US. - If no human voice is detected, a message saying so appears. You can try re-transcribing with a different language.
Speakers are labeled differently depending on the plan.
| Plan | Speaker labels |
|---|---|
| Plus and Business | Voices are told apart and numbered: Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on. |
| Free | Speakers aren’t told apart; every line is labeled Unknown speaker. |
Speaker numbers only tell voices apart. They aren’t linked to attendees’ names.
Read the summary
Section titled “Read the summary”The Summary tab shows the summary the AI wrote from the transcript. It has three parts:
- Meeting Summary: the key discussion and context
- Decisions: decisions explicitly confirmed in the meeting
- Action Items: a to-do checklist with owners and due dates (or TBD if not set)
The summary’s language follows the transcript. If the transcription language you chose, or the most-used language in auto-detect, is English, the summary is written in English with the headings above. Otherwise it’s written in Korean, with the headings 회의 요약 (Meeting Summary), 결정 사항 (Decisions) and 액션 아이템 (Action Items).
- The summary appears only in the Summary tab, separate from the note body. Copy anything you want to keep into the note body.
- While the summary is being written, you see
Generating the meeting summary…. - Writing the summary uses the workspace’s AI usage. See Plans and limits.
Re-transcribe with a fixed language
Section titled “Re-transcribe with a fixed language”If auto-detect got the language wrong or you’re not happy with the result, you can transcribe the whole recording again with a language you choose.
- On the Transcript tab, choose Re-transcribe.
- In the Re-transcribe meeting dialog, pick a Transcription language. Auto-detect (multiple languages) is also available.
- Choose Re-transcribe.
- Re-transcribing uses additional voice-transcription minutes.
- You can keep reading the previous transcript while the new one is made, and if the new run fails, the current transcript is kept as is.
- When the new transcript is ready, the summary is rewritten too.
If processing fails
Section titled “If processing fails”If something goes wrong, the panel shows a message such as Meeting processing failed. with a Try again button. Any earlier results are kept, as the message Previous results are preserved. indicates.
Usage limits
Section titled “Usage limits”- Meeting recording time counts against the workspace’s monthly voice-transcription allowance. This allowance is shared with whiteboard recording and resets on the 1st of each month (Korea time).
- The maximum length of a single meeting recording also depends on the plan. The panel shows it as
Up to {N} min per meeting · {N} min remaining. - When this month’s allowance is used up, you see
You have used all of this month's meeting recording minutes.and Start recording is unavailable. - Re-transcribing uses additional minutes too.
- Speaker labels are available only on the Plus and Business plans.
For plan differences, see Plans and limits.
Who can do what?
Section titled “Who can do what?”- Record, re-transcribe, try again: members with edit access to the note
- Read the transcript and summary, play the recording: anyone who can view the note. If someone without recording permission opens a meeting note that has no recording yet, they see
No meeting recording has been registered yet. - The Meeting recording panel isn’t shown on notes locked by an e-signature.
