Getting started with the whiteboard
The Whiteboard is a live session where members of the same workspace draw and write on one shared board while they talk. When the session ends, AI turns what happened on the board and the recorded conversation into a time-ordered report.
The whiteboard screen describes it like this:
Create a session and share the link. Participants draw on one board while they talk, and the session becomes a time-ordered report.
Open the whiteboard
Section titled “Open the whiteboard”Select Whiteboard in the navigation rail. From there you can create a new session or reopen a past one.
Create a session
Section titled “Create a session”- Optionally, enter a title in the
Session title (optional)field. - Click Create session. You can also press Enter in the title field.
- When the share link appears, click the copy icon next to it (Copy link) and send the link to the people joining you.
- Click Enter session to open the board.
The person who creates a session is its host (the person who opened the session). Only the host can record and end the session. See Recording and Ending the session and the report.
- If copying fails, you’ll see
Could not copy the link — please copy it manually.Select the address in the link field and copy it yourself. - If the session can’t be created, you’ll see
Could not create the session.
Join a session
Section titled “Join a session”Opening a share link joins you to the session right away and opens the board. There is no name to enter: your account’s display name is used as your participant name.
- Only members of the same workspace can join. The link is not an invitation; it is just the address of the session. People outside the workspace and guests can’t join, even with the link.
- If you belong to several workspaces, the session’s workspace must be the one currently selected. If another workspace is selected when you open the link, you’ll get an error saying the session can’t be found. Select the right workspace from your avatar at the bottom of the navigation rail (the account menu), then click Try again.
- Opening the link of a session that has already ended shows
This session has already ended.Open the report of an ended session from Recent sessions instead. - If joining fails for a temporary reason, you’ll see an error such as
Could not join the session.with a Try again button.
Recent sessions
Section titled “Recent sessions”Recent sessions lists the sessions opened in this workspace, newest first. It includes sessions other members opened, not just yours. If there are none yet, it shows No sessions yet.
Each row shows the session title (Untitled session if it has none), when it started, the participant count ({count} participants) and its status. The participant count is the number of people who have joined the session at any point.
Selecting a row opens the screen that matches the session’s status:
| Status | Meaning | Selecting it |
|---|---|---|

The session’s host and the workspace’s admins and owner see a delete icon at the right of each row. See Replay and save as a note for how deleting works.
