Recording

If you record the conversation during a session, the recording is transcribed and, after the session ends, shows up on the review screen and in the AI report.

Only the person who opened the session (the host) can record.

  1. Click Record in the toolbar. The first time, your browser asks for permission to use the microphone.
  2. While recording, the button changes to Stop. There is no timer showing how long you’ve been recording.
  3. Click Stop and the recording uploads right away. When it succeeds, you’ll see Recording uploaded. Transcription is running. The record button is unavailable until the upload finishes.

Participants who aren’t the host don’t see the record button. They see the notice The person who opened this session handles recording and ending instead.

  • Only the host’s microphone is recorded. Other participants’ microphones aren’t used.
  • That makes recording work best when everyone is together in one room. A remote participant’s voice isn’t recorded unless the host’s microphone picks it up, and it won’t be in the report.
  • If you stop and click Record again, the new recording is added to the session; it doesn’t overwrite the earlier one. A session can hold up to 50 recordings.

Other participants don’t see any indicator that a recording is in progress, and no consent prompt is shown to them.

Guidance on this topic is being prepared. In the meantime, contact us through Help & feedback at the bottom-right of the app.

  • Transcription runs after the recording uploads. There are no live captions during the session.
  • After the session ends, you can read the transcript in Transcript on the review screen and in the report. See Replay and save as a note.

Speakers in the transcript are labeled differently depending on the plan. These labels stay in Korean even when the app is in English:

Plan Speaker labels
Paid plans Voices are told apart and numbered: 화자 1, 화자 2 (“Speaker 1”, “Speaker 2”), and so on.
Free Every line is labeled 화자 미상 (“unknown speaker”).
  • Speaker numbers only tell voices apart; they aren’t linked to participants’ names. Lines are never labeled with the name of the host who recorded them.
  • If you split the conversation into several recordings, the same person may get a different number in each recording.
  • How speakers are labeled is fixed by the plan at the time of recording. Changing plans later doesn’t change the labels of recordings already made.
  • Recording time counts against the workspace’s monthly voice-transcription allowance. It’s the same allowance meeting notes recordings use. The allowance refills on the 1st of each month (Korea time).
  • Each plan also sets a maximum length for a single recording. See Plans for each plan’s limits.
  • Limits are checked when you click Stop and the recording uploads. Nothing shows the time remaining while you record, so a recording longer than your plan allows is rejected at upload.
  • A rejected recording isn’t transcribed, and the app has no way to upload it again.

Deleting a session doesn’t return transcription minutes already used.
